Jeff Simms Connects with the Wilderness

Born and raised in the coastal mountains of British Columbia, Jeff Simms has had a close connection with the wilderness his entire life.  Growing up in cowboy country, Jeff developed an early love for horses. He spent many summers on horseback, exploring the vast wilderness around him.

After riding in the British Columbia Rodeo Circuit, Jeff traded in his spurs for a camera, and developed a new career as a wildlife photographer. Jeff's love for nature, combined with his knowledge of British Columbia's wild has proven invaluable as he continues to capture nature at its finest. I came across Jeff's superb photography on Facebook, and then explored his website, which is a treasure trove of beautiful landscape and wildlife photography.

Featured below are a couple of my favorite photographs, "Bugling Elk" and "Bambi". I am consistently amazed at the incredible wildlife that Jeff manages to capture on film. He is truly fearless (check out his fabulous bear photos)! In addition to his gorgeous photos, Jeff also builds custom frames out of natural logs from British Columbia. They are the perfect complement for his photographs.

You can see and purchase Jeff's photographs, as well as his beautiful log frames on the Cowboy Wildlife Photography website.
